Frequently Asked Questions
Your provider can order a Home Sleep Apena Test (HSAT) through Dream Sleep Testing if he/she is concerned that you may have Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). For ordering information, contact your provider or see our Referral Form.
Dream Sleep Testing accepts most major insurance plans. You may be responsible for out-of-pocket costs, depending on required copay or yearly deductible.
You will wear the device during one typical sleep cycle. If you are concerned about the quality of your testing night, please contact us for further instruction.
Please see our 'For Patients' page for more information for what to expect on the night of your test.

You will wear the device one time during your typical sleep schedule. You should stick to your usual bedtime routine before performing your test; including when and where you sleep and what medications you may take prior to sleeping.
If you should wake up in the night, keep the device on if at all possible. You may remove the device for a short time if needed, but replace the device once you continue your sleep cycle. Do not power down the device until you plan to stop/complete the testing night.
A piece of tape will be included with your testing kit that you may use to secure the finger probe. You may use adhesive tape (i.e. Band-Aid) if needed to keep the nasal cannula in place.
Your test should be scored and interpreted within 7-10 days after receiving your returned device. The results will then be sent to your ordering provider.
